ABOUT OTTER ROCK
Hello! It's nice to have you here.
I'm Sarah, let's get to know each other! I'm an all-round creative human being, who has been working either full-time or freelance in the creative industries of music, marketing, graphic design, photography and weddings for the past six years.
A brief history into my background starts with my time in education. Throughout my years at school and college in the brilliant city of Nottingham, I studied media and photography and had a passion for digital art and design. Pairing this with my abilities and qualifications in English, I went on to study journalism at the University of Portsmouth in 2012.
Portsmouth became my second home, and is somewhere I return to at least once a year. It's a place I feel that I truly thrived. I learned so many different digital and creative skills - including videojournalism and editorial design - and graduated with a 2:1 and an NCTJ Diploma in Journalism.
While I adored my time in Portsmouth, I returned home to Nottingham in 2015 to pursue a career and set up camp with my now-husband, Ewan, and my disobedient feline companion, Eevee.

Straight out of university, chasing a life-long obsession with music and a keenness to work in the industry, I somehow bagged myself a job working in marketing for one of the UK's largest ticket agencies. Six years later, I'm now their Digital Marketing Manager.
In this job, I've worked with some of the largest music promoters, venues and event organisers in the country, marketing national tours and festivals all over the world. I've also worked on advertising campaigns for my company, seeing print ads designed by myself published in many industry magazines such as Music Week and Live UK.
So far you might be wondering where Otter Rock fits in to all of this. Well, I feel as though the myriad of twists and turns in my career path has lead me to Otter Rock, and in 2017 is where it all began.
In 2017, I got married. After spending two years planning a DIY wedding, I felt like something was missing, and really craved a new project. I spent months crafting and making every part of my wedding and I needed to channel this newfound energy into a project. I began making wedding stationery, selling cards on Etsy and designing some beautiful invitation sets for couples all over the UK. And there, Otter Rock was first born. Since then, I've created 100s of pieces of wedding stationery for happy couples all over the UK.
